At least 50 firefighters are tackling an extensive fire at Blochairn Market, a hub for fresh produce in the Glasgow region.

There are no reports of injuries at this time, however the fire service is expected to spend the rest of the day at the scene to get it under control.

Up to 90% of the building is thought to have caught fire which started at just before 4am today (Aug 17) just as traders were starting to set up for the day.

People have been taking to social media to share pictures of the flames tearing through the building and plumes of black smoke in the area.
