By bringing together the much-loved brands of Sainsbury’s and Argos, Sainsbury’s can offer customers choice and convenience across high quality, affordable products which they can buy in store and online.

The 300th store will be located inside Sainsbury’s Salford in Manchester and will enable customers to browse and purchase over 20,000 technology, home and toy products whilst picking up their groceries. Sainsbury’s has been working at pace to integrate the two brands to offer customers fantastic choice and value and this milestone showcases the speed and scale at which this integration is being achieved.

Salford customers join thousands across the UK who are benefiting from not only being able to shop for grocery and general products under one roof, but also access Argos’s market-leading Fast Track Delivery and Collection which give customers the option to order products for same day collection in store or home delivery in as little as four hours. Argos is a technology-led retailer and the new store will have a [email protected] area with tablets that enable customers to purchase what they want quickly and conveniently as well as browse for products, with Argos colleagues on hand to help.

James Brown, Commercial Director for General Merchandise & Clothing at Sainsbury’s, said: “We are very proud to be celebrating the opening of the 300th Argos store inside Sainsbury’s Salford. This marks an important milestone in our plan to ensure customers can easily buy everything they need from one single, multi-brand, multi-channel business and is testament to the popularity of the model and the hard work of all our colleagues.”
