Fruit Logistica: British Stand features number of horticulture companies

The Commercial Horticultural Association (CHA) and the Department for International Trade have organised the British pavilion at Fruit Logistica, which takes place 5-7 February in Germany.

The pavilion will be located in Hall 7.2c / A-04. Group exhibitors include: 

A C Goatham & Son Ltd – Stand 7.2c / A02
An innovative and dynamic family owned British business farming over 2,850 acres of top fruit across 25 farms, working directly with partner customers and partner growers and directly market 4,850 acres worth of orchard fruits. They grow and manage a quality range of 12 varieties of apples and three varieties of pears, from the Great British Cox and Bramley to Royal Gala and Conference Pears. They are looking to explore partnership opportunities in international markets.

Angus Soft Fruits – Stand 7.2c / A-02
Angus Soft Fruits Ltd is a leading supplier of berries to UK & European retailers who breed, grow and pack berries from around the world to ensure a consistent supply of the best tasting fruit for their customers. They will be showcasing key brands at Fruit Logistica, Good Natured and AVA™Berries – Taste the Berry Best.

Bedfordshire Growers – Stand 7.2c / A-02
BedGrow are British growers of onions, beetroot, shallots, garlic and echalions who successfully bred the only sweet red onion in world production. They are also suppliers of a range of salad products including wholehead lettuce and greenhouse salads. They are currently working on new innovative lines that will be introduced at Fruit Logistica including Aloe Vera leaf.

Berry bpi agriculture – Stand 7.2c / A-06
Developed in partnership with leading plant scientists, Berry produce greenhouse and polytunnel films that prevent short wavelength UV light from reaching plants, their Lumisol UV transparent range allows UVB to enter the greenhouse to enhance crop fragrance, taste and colour in addition to increasing crop yield and more uniform growth. Their classic tunnel film range offers cover and protection to field grown crops such as soft fruit whilst increasing plant yield and quality. With numerous technical advantages to satisfy almost any growing conditions, they offer films that facilitate high light transmission in addition to films that reduce peak temperatures.

Botanicoir – Stand 7.2c / A-04C
A family run company with 15 years experience manufacturing quality coir products in Sri Lanka for the commercial horticultural industry. Their focus is, and always will be, providing top quality products and service to customers around the world, whilst looking after the planet that we inhabit. Products: Coir (Cocopeat), Grow Bags, Substrate, Growing media, Open Top Containers, Coir naked slabs, Coir Disks.

Russell BioSolutions – Stand 7.2c / A-04
Russell produce plant biostimulants, biological crop protection products based on microbials and plant extracts, fertilisers, adjuvants, earwig traps and pheromone attractants of natural enemies for indoor and outdoor conditions.

White Air Solutions Ltd – Stand 7.2c / A04A
An extensive range of PCO air filtration units are food safe offering green technology a solution for the organic sector as well as the conventional chain. PCO technology offers a solution to reduce pathogens and VOC`S that are detrimental to food storage and distribution environments, providing a reduction in waste and preserving shelf life. White Air offer a comprehensive product range to cater for all storage areas, including a unit operating on DC power suitable for logistics. The units they will be displaying are the new compact units along with their new medium range incorporating digital technology.

 

Forming part of the British pavilion area is the CHA Base Space stand (7.2c / A-04). An area dedicated to providing meeting space and brochure displays for a small number of other British companies wishing to have a presence at the show to connect with visiting growers and trade contacts.

Founded over 40 years ago, Berry Gardens is the UK’s leading berry and stone fruit production and marketing group.

James Hutton Ltd – Stand 7.2c / A-04B
Crop breeding and scientific services focused on soft fruit, potato and barley.

Martin Lishman Ltd – Stand 7.2c / A-04B
ImpacTrack shock logger to reduce fruit damage.

Veg-UK Ltd – Stand 7.2c / A-04B
VEG-UK are a grower co-operative involved in all stages of production, from planting to packaging; core products include cauliflower, broccoli, red and white cabbage, pointed cabbage, savoy cabbage, iceberg and pumpkins.
