The Prognosfruit Conference, an annual event for the European apple and pear sector, has moved online and will take place on 6 August.
The conference, which gathers together growers from across the continent, was set to take place in Belgrade before Covid-19 forced the move to virtual. Registrations are now open to industry stakeholders on the Prognosfruit website.
The show has been one of the leading networking stops for apple and pear professionals since 1976. This year’s resource booklet, which includes the forecast of production for the two commodities, will be released during the Zoom conference, which is set for 09:30 to 12:30 CEST.
The event will feature:
- The forecast for apples and pears by WAPA Secretary General Philippe Binard;
- Market analysis by AMI Market Analyst Helwig Schwartau;
- Latest trends in processing by Austria Juice CEO Franz Ennser and for organic by Europäisches Bioobst-Forum President Fritz Prem;
- Two panel discussions, one for apples and one for pears.
Registrations will close on Friday 31 July 2020 at 12:00 CEST.
