Prue Leith CBE, London Produce Show ambassador and patron of Let’s Get Cooking, part of the Children’s Food Trust, joined Jim Prevor to officially open today’s bespoke event.

During the ribbon cutting ceremony, the celebrity chef, author, food campaigner and advocate for getting children interested in fresh fruit and vegetables, welcomed delegates from more than 50 countries.

She then toured the show floor at Grosvenor House on London’s infamous Park Lane.

Now in its fourth year, the London Produce Show and Conference, presented by the Fresh Produce Consortium and Produce Business, brings together a melting pot of industry professionals to learn, share and do business.

Throughout the day there are a series of educational seminars and workshops with political issues like Brexit and increasing the consumption of fruit and vegetables amongst children high on the agenda, as well as the outcome of today’s General Election.
